OK, I've ditched the Echo card. Not enough sample rate. How about the M-Audio Audiophile 192? Aside from me having to figure out how to get a composite output from the card, it seems OK. (?)

Well, if you get a 192 kHz signal with stereo and RDS out of it, that's a composite signal right? ;)

I'll wait for others to respond on the card - I have no experience with it.

The AP192 works, but has some tilt on the ins/outs. There is a tutorial on how to de-tilt the ins/outs by modifying the hardware: http://mpxtool.com/site/hardware-mods/3 ... 2-mod.html

Best cards are Marian Trace alpha or esi juli. Save yourself a headache by having to do a mod on the 192.I had one before i got the marian, still didn't like the way the low end sounded.

I tried the card without modifying it and was quite happy with the fidelity and small amount of overshoot. Then I modified the card with the capacitors and cutting the trace. The overshoot worsened and I didn't notice any improvement in the audio... in fact it seemed worse. So, I de-modified it!

You never know until you try...

Did you make whole procedure how to adjust TILT for that transmitter's MPX input?

For example.. When i wanted to replace Julia with Marian Trace, i measured Marian for tilt and it was ok. Then when i attach it to transmitter i measured again.. i saw small tilt! So, it depends on transmitter!

No. I did not see any instructions for adjusting the tilt in the help pages. And looking at the square waves and sine waves in the windows on the sound card page, I did not see any difference in the frequencies I selected. I'd be wiling to check the tilt, but would not be able to do it on the main transmitter unless I did it after midnight. Besides, isn't the tilt correction supposed to do that?

My exciter is a Harris Digit and the transmitter is an older Harris. The test transmitter is a 1kw Italian Elettronica TEX-1000. The test box is in an outbuilding, the main one is 25 miles away connected by a composite STL.

I personally think the M-Audio Audiophile 192 works well. The audio (thanks to the excellent Stereo Tool) is quite clean!
