Hi,

is it possible to have the following setup?

One soundcard for input and MPX out, and one soundcard for low latency out?

Bye
Alex

I'm was actually thinking about this. Problem is that you can only use one sound card with ASIO (that's a limitation of ASIO itself), so the either the input or the low latency output would cause considerable latency. An alternative solution would be to do the input and low latency output on one card, and MPX out on another. Problem with this setup (actually any setup with multiple cards, but the low latency output code takes this into account and will not interfere with others) is that the 2 will not run at exactly the same speed, causing buffer over or underruns.

Note: This could be fixed if I implement something similar as 'FM Synchronization' in the stand alone version to synchronize input with output. But that's on my todo list, it's not available right now. And you would still get more latency on at least one of the sound cards.

So the best solution would be 1 sound card that does everything.

Indeed. And the Trace 8 won't ship before End of January - shortage at the Marian production sites :-(
