I travel around a lot, and have always known about the "Big" B96 in Chicago. I got the chance to spend some time there not too long ago and enjoyed listening to their signal.
All I can say is "Man, does that sound BIG" - I have listened to their stream, through the Radio.com App, and it still sounds great there, even though it's not as pristine a path from the guy at the console to my ears, but it still sounds really big.
For those in this forum that can pick out what's behind a given "sound", what would you say is going on there to get the sound they have?
To me, it sounds like a typical modern multi-band air chain, but with perhaps some reverb added in. The bass sounds huge and tight. I can't quite list all the nuances I can hear going on there.
