Post subject: | Better restoration of tilted clipping |
Audio with tilted rather than straight clipping has bothered me for a while. The standard settings for the declipper don't handle it will at all. I have tinkered around and found some settings that seem to have good detection without finding too many false positives. I could probably even go a bit less aggressive. Problem is that even with reliable detection, restoration often simply seems to be far off, virtually doing nothing in the end. Does anybody here have good settings for this type of clipping with reliable detection and restoration? You can try turning MP3 input on and MP3 number of samples up to like 3 or more. I've found that the mp3 option works fine on higher quality sources. Your preamp may be up too high. |
