Post subject:  Version 9.92 Start Attack, Attack and Recovery shape, RMS time, relative release distance

What is the control action of "Start Attack" adjustment in MB2 of version 9.92?
What is happening at each extreme of the control?

Are Attack and Recovery shape controls intended to address a computational matter the control action of the compressor?
If the answer is yes, was the manual setting option provided to enable creation of a subjective sound that might be desired by the user?

Can Attack shape control be used to change slope (over time) of the onset of gain reduction when new gain reduction is required?
That is, can I use it to make something different than (what is apparently an emulation) of resistor-capacitor charge or discharge slope (over time)?

When RMS detection is used, is the RMS size control the digital equivalent of the RMS averaging capacitor employed when using analog RMS detectors?

Relative release distance control: Does the compressor circuit require an imaginary reference level below the threshold of audio gain reduction?

Thank you

Greg
