Hi,

I am currently using the DSP version of ST with WinAMP,
and noticed that there is a setting under; [Configuration] -> [Plug-in]
called; 'Winamp bug fix: Clean buffer at start of new track',
that is turned OFF by default.

My query is; if I am using the plug-in with WinAMP, should I
have this setting turned ON?

Thanks in advance

Mark

Only if you experience the issue that each next track in your playlist starts with a short fragment of the end of the previous track.

Hi,

Thank you for confirming what this setting does.

I will check and see if I need it turned on or not.

Thanks

Mark

I have the issue that the "clean buffer" option does not work. i still have audio fragments when changing (manualy skipping within and between) songs. Is there a known fix to this?

after activating the "expert" settings and shortening the buffer clean time to 0.10 seconds, skipping within a song and starting a song after stop has been hit no longer produces a fragment.
unpausing sometimes creates a stutter. skipping within the playlist and using next track or previous track still produces a fragment.

Does the clean buffer option not recognize track changes, but only full stops?

Winamp doesn't tell Stereo Tool that a new track starts, the only way to detect it is by seeing no data for a while. So yes, it needs a full stop.

Thank you for the quick answer.
i sadly kind find a plugin that introduces silence between songs or a scripting plugin to chain full stops into other commands for winamp 5.666. do you incidentaly know of a possible implement for something liike this?
