If the goal of Auto EQ is to apply an EQ setting to different sounding tracks, that's understandable.
I'm just wondering if Auto EQ will do anything if I set all the bands to flat. Does it try to make tracks sound like some ideal EQ setting or does it use each track as the EQ baseline?

You normally set up Auto EQ by playing a reference track and making sure it does nothing to that track (i.e. the meters are all in the middle). Then all other songs you play will be adjusted to match the ratio of the frequency bands of the reference track.

Thank you! I've tested out a few songs, but not knowing the intended use, I was using it incorrectly.
I really like this tool so far.
