E.g. if we use ratio = 2 and maxRatio = 4 where do we end up for very loud input? And we start with ratio at the threshold and switch to maxRatio at threshold - 'Max ratio at'? |

If I recall correctly, we draw a line from the standard ratio to the maximum ratio when the input level "threshold" too high. So, for low input levels, it will behave as if the ratio is 1:2, for loud input it will behave as if it's 1:4 - of course it will not go down *further* so it's a bit hard to calculate where you'll end up exactly. |
