Why are most of the presets suffixed with (soft)? What's the meaning? |

Those are the Generic versions, where all loudness-stuff is disabled. |

Holy crap, I've just realised what you mean! They're all listed again in the next section, but with loudness enabled. Don't I feel stupid. |

OK, but I still can't figure out what to change in the GUI (I'm using the Winamp/DSP version in Extreme Tweaker Mode, with Depreciated Settings shown) to get the difference between the two. i.e. if I load up the (soft) version of your Unveil Mod Hans, no matter what I do I can't get the same loudness as when I load the Preset from the Web/DAB/HD Radio stations section. I've looked at the two STS files with a diff viewer, the big thing that's changing is [Final Limiter] Pre-amp=0.400000006 / 1 (0.4 is in the soft version, 1 in the loud version) I can't see anywhere in the GUI where that Pre-amp is adjusted. Am I stupid? |

Figured it out... It's called Final Limiter in the config file, but it's the "Simple Clipper" section |

Heh names in the .sts file are old since I cannot change them. If you look at the old compressor, it even starts at band -1 (because Stereo Tool 1.0 had 8 bands, and in 2.0 I added 2 at the bottom). |
