Assume default settings but with the multiband on, flat band tops and flat tops = 100%.

We are only interested in the topmost 6dB.

Now we slowly increase the slope of a band. At first it gets more convex as I would expect it to. But then it switches to getting less convex, ending up in an almost triangle shape, though I would have expected it to approximate a rectangle.

Or in more mathematical terms: Assume the topmost 6dB are a curve like -x^2. With increasing slope I expect the power to rise, too, resulting in e.g. -x^4. However what we actually get is something like -abs(x)^1.2. See a plot.

Why is that?
