This is made to sound like a station in Germany that uses an 8200 with a little oldschool box in front of it. On a A/B comparison with Mpxtool my sound is I'd say 70 to 80% like the 8200 depending on the song. I can live with that. It uses a fast multiband but not too much drive and not too much mb or final clipping (the 8200). Now, I only use the clipper and preemphasis in StereoTool, everything else is done with VST plugins. A bit of a hassle but it produces the sound I'm looking for. this is a test stream with an old-ish dance playlist which I think suits this kind of sound very well. http://84.232.201.217:8090/listen.pls *the hard bass clipper is obviously intentional. |
