When running the latest ST on Rasberry Pi2 is it powerful enough to do both ST, and DSP encoding for multiple stream types/quality?

You can barely run 2 or 3 filters in ST on it. Expect it to run at about 1/30th of the speed of a 4th gen i7.

@ Hans
What do you think about this new upcomming gizmo?
The PINE A64 , 1,2 GHZ quad cortex A53
This boasts a lot more computing power!

I thought it would be interesting to see if StereoTool will run better on the Raspberry Pi 3:

It's 64-bit, his CPU (same as Pine64) is 50% faster, and the price is still the same. :)

Yup. Got it. Stereo Tool runs on it (even on a different Linux distro), but I think it must be possible to optimize it further. I can still not run a full streaming preset in it (I've tried 7 Wonders HD, I needed to turn the declipper, clipper and Natural Dynamics off and to lower Quality to 33%).

Hi

i also thinking about PINE A64+ 2GB

since it have i2s on GPIO it can be easy connect audio card based on for example ADAU1701 Analog Devices dsp for analog/digital input and analog digital output

it can be easy controlled via i2c for I/O switching using sigma studio IDE (http://www.analog.com/en/design-center/ ... p-overview)

ADAU1701 can work as a in/on switching, ST as a audio processing module..
