Hey guys,

I'm using ST to process audio offline on a Ubuntu 14.04 webserver using the 64bit CML version of the plug in.

The machine has 8GB of RAM and 2 x Xeon 2.4ghz processors and the HD is SSD.

It's working, but it's gobbling up the CPU.

A single process is eating 68% of the CPU and trying to run two sends the CPU up to 100%.

Is this normal?

Many thanks!

It depends a lot on which Xeon it is - there are really huge differences between them. Also, FM is more heavy than non-FM.

On a modern i7 an FM preset will take about 7% total CPU. (The Linux version uses a bit more, because it's less optimized, but probably not that much). So, I would assume that your Xeon is VERY slow. Can you look up the exact number?
