Hi. I am trying to set up a Juli@ card for FM output, and am following the YT tutorial, but I cannot select anything other than 44.1khz in the Soundcard/Sampling menu. As a matter of fact, it seems like the drop-down menu is greyed out and inactive (it attempts to switch to 192khz for a moment and then reverts back to 44.1).
This happens whether or not I activate Asio.
P.S. and yes, in Control Panel I have changed the settings for this soundcard to 192khz.

Any idea what's going on?
Regards
Christo

PS. OK I figured out the reason - but not the solution. I am using, as INPUT, vlc stream (that's how I am delivering the audio to the transmitter site). Once vlc stream is selected as input, the SampleRate gets disactivated :(

Yes, there's no solution for this yet :( :(

Only thing I can say is this: If you're not using ASIO, the FM output will oversample 4x to 176.4 (for 44.1 input) or 192 (for 48 input). So if you want to generate an FM signal it's still possible.

May I suggest you bring the audio in via Virtual Audio Cable line 1 out. You'll need to plumb VLC out to VAC line 1 in.

Hi Hvz,

We run 192K IN and OUT, even if the playout software feeding the source audio is running at 48k output.

This is using Virtual Audio Cables.

Is that wrong ???

Well, I hope that Window's resampler from 48 to 192 kHz is a lot better than the one going between 44.1 and 48. If you want to use ASIO you have no choice...

Hi Hvz,

Yes it runs well for us, no problems at all. Our audio is all FLAC for FM and HD.

We did run ASIO previously, but sometimes experienced errors on start-up of ST which needed to be cleared before it would work again, so we ended up not using it as the units are headless and in remote locations.

Otherwise it is flawless running 7.84 64-Bit Standalone.
