Hello ! I try to install Stereo Tool on a new Windows 7 (UEFI, x64) PC. The 7.73 standalone works, but the 7.84 doesn't work. I can install both but when i try to launch 7.84, "Stereo Tool stopped working" and a windows to send report shows up. 7.73 is just fine. Do I need some "extra" software to run 7.84 (like .netF or anything else) ? By the past this PC was on Win 10 but I hated it so went back to Win 7. Have a nice week-end Best regards |

Maybe you can try loading a (different) stock preset and then installing and launching 7.84? Might be something in the preset which is making it crash? Edit: I guess you might suspect that this has something to do with the roll-back to Win 7? Did 7.84 work OK on Win 10? |

.netF is not needed.

Something in your settings must be triggering a crash (you don't need anything special for version 7.84). Can you try the following? 1. Go to C:\Users\<username> and rename stereo_tool.ini to somethng else (for example stereo_tool.ini.20160524). 2. Try (installing and) running version 7.84. If that works, please send me the backed-up file so I can try to reproduce it here. If it doesn't help, rename the backup back so you're not loosing any settings. |

Okay, thanks for your answers all. It was a clean install of Seven so no custom preset loaded... 7.84 worked like a charm on 10. I will try what you wrote Hans and then will send you the file if it works (but I think I did that the first time I uninstalled 7.84 for retry). Anyway thanks for your help |
