Hi

With ASIO, can't choose input and output.
When i launch StereoTool (7.51), the app open 4 inputs and outputs at same time.
Tried with another app, like Radio Boss, to see if it's a driver or soundcard problem but everything went fine.

Thanks

You mean that it 'claims' all those ports regardless of what you select in the GUI?

Yes. ST claims 3 (not 4 as I mention before, sorry) ports regardless what I select in GUI.

Here's an image with ST - > http://i.imgur.com/gQs0lfS.png

With Radio Boss -> http://i.imgur.com/8HrJeix.png
With Radio Boss i can select the output (software shows me the output and input name)

Thanks

Hi Nunoserra,

It is actually caused by the ASIO driver, not Stereotool itself. ASIO drivers can't be shared between multiple software programs at the same time. Radio Boss probably uses the standard windows WDM and/or DirectSound drivers while Stereotool uses the ASIO drivers. Advantage of the WDM/DirectSound drivers is that they can indeed be shared. ASIO on the other hand, has a much better sound quality and low latency is possible.

Hi Rhodes54

Thank you for your answer.
But the problem is not that. The issue i'd mention its already identified by Hans and its already on TODO list.
Basically relates to how the ST works with Lynx driver.

Regards
