With Linux ST-SA version, how do you get more than one instance of ST running? A 2nd/3rd ST instance launches ok but seems to not want to talk to JACK at all (red bars with Jack warning)

Also, is it possible to use the ST-SA VLC Stream URL input feature and 'Synchronise with Different Output' option, or are these both only windows ST-SA options?

Ubuntu 13.10/64. ST-SA 7.40 Thanks.

Hm, true. It uses the same names and that's not possible. I don't remember if I put in a command line option to change the name (if not, then it's not possible for now).

VLC is currently Windows-only.

Thanks Hans. I had tried renaming the 2nd instance - like you do in windows, and that had not worked.

While XP has been stable for ST, with MS XP support/patches ending next month, I was thinking as an alternative to jumping to Win7, it might be an idea to set up a ST pc at remote tx sites running Ubuntu 14.4/64 LTS (especially if it has internet connectivity).
