I've tried to install StereoTool into RadioBOSS but it does not seem to be appearing in any of the plugin
menus.

I've installed it to Program Files/Radioboss/Plugins/Winamp.

Then I've gone to the FX tab, selected the "+" sign, and it brings up a box that says
"DSP" and then I've checked "Winamp DSP Plug Ins" and "Open Plugins Folder" where it
shows me a .dll file which I can select but that's as far as it will go, once I select this file,
nothing happens.

If I click on it says "You are attempting to open a file not recognized by Windows, do you want to
select a program to open it"

Also the instructions to look under "View" don't apply - there is no option in RadioBOSS under the "view"
tab to select plugins - one must go to FX tab first and then go to the "add" option - there it brings up a
option to select the Winamp folder. (which, incidentally, does not exist, it had to be created, there is only a
VST folder by default, and only a "VST" checkbox in main view, no DSP, so it is quite confusing).

Hi,
If you saw this http://www.djsoft.net/enu/stereotool.htm like me.. then this will not work anymore..

So, this will work..
- Install current version of Radio BOSS which is 4.9.1.0
- Install DSP Stereo Tool plugin in to Radio BOOS "Plugins" folder dsp_stereo_tool.dll
- Open/Restart Radio Boss
- Go to FX Tab on left
- Click "+" sign and in new window Select "Winamp DSP plug-ins"
- DSP Stereo Tool should be shown there, so you just need to select it.

I am willing to try this, but do you think RadioBoss will save all my settings from my previous version if I download the
new version?

Is there another solution?

I see the features of the new version and I really don't need them. It was really a long process configuring RB to the way I want it, I'd hate to lose all my settings.

@ Bojcha: I have a query:

I also use RadioBOSS, in the previous post you recommended to disable the function "Auto Amp".
In my case, our configuration is as follows:

Studies:
PC Air with RB -> Console-> secondary PC for encoding Ogg (A link mode) -> Internet

Transmitter Plant
-> Internet -> PC Transmission (With radioboss and Stereo Tool).

In autoamp transmison pc is off.

But in the air pc, I thought it was a good idea, autoamp activate, so the coding is not too low and lose quality.
Am I wrong?

Thanks for your help

Changing the level before entering Stereo Tool will make things more difficult for the AGC, noise gate and in extreme cases the declipper.

If you want to do some processing before streaming (which can be a good idea because very soft music doesn't compress too well, I have been told), run the first few filters in Stereo Tool at the first PC, then stream, and run ONLY the remaining filters on the second. You might want to turn on the Advanced Clipper on the first PC, but with very 'nice' settings (it should nearly never go into clipping).

Best place to place the cut is just before clipping. Make sure that the settings match, and correct any volume differences to make sure that the processing does what it should do. (So for example if you set Post Amp to 0.75 and Advanced Clipper drive to 0.80, then you need to set Pre Amp at the 2nd pc to 1 / (0.75 * 0.80) = 1.66666666......
