Oops! You're right - I compiled an SSE2-only version...

I have now also compiled a non-SSE2 version (at least I hope so - I don't have any non-SSE2 hardware available to test it). Can you check if this version works?

http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... onSSE2.dll

Save this file to your Winamp plugins directory (usually C:\Program Files\winamp\plugins), and select it in Preferences -> Plug-ins -> DSP/Effect.

If it works I'll put it on the download page. When you test it, please start with all the options turned off - a lot of optimizations are turned off for the non-SSE2 build, so when you turn on too many options it will probably block Winamp.

(Note: I know I can build a version that supports both SSE2 and non-SSE2. Unfortunately, when I do so the result is about 10% slower on SSE2 systems. Which is why I didn't do that.)

That's what I was afraid of... Which options can you use without going to 100%? (Note: Please set the quality to Low, multiband HQ off, and don't use Loudness).

Ok, I've updated the installer now - upon installation, it checks if the PC supports SSE2. If it doesn't, the installation is stopped, and a website with the non-SSE2 installer is opened.

(The alternative would be to put both versions in one installer, which would make it twice as big.)

If you have some time, could you check if it works "intuitively"? Thanks!

Hans

Update: I have created a new installer that now contains both versions. So there's no need anymore to download a 2nd installer on a non-SSE2 PC.
