Hello: I have ST installed on a computer dedicated to audio processing, but I have buffer problems. After starting ST it begins to slowly lower the Buffer until it reaches the minimum. Then, it begins to cut the sound until it is silenced. After one or two seconds, the buffer is filled again and so on. My PC Hardware: Proc: Intel Core i3 (4 cores) Ram: 4 GB HDD: 120 GB SSD My FM Output setting: Buffer: 1.5000 sec PD: Declipper is disabled. Best regards https://imgur.com/a/btMa2 |

What's the CPU load (shown in Stereo Tool)? How fast does it happen? Are you using the same sound card for input and output? Which one is it? Are hou accessing it via Wasapi, Kernel Streaming, MME, ASIO? |

* Settings:How fast does it happen? Are you using the same sound card for input and output? Which one is it? Are hou accessing it via Wasapi, Kernel Streaming, MME, ASIO? Quality (CPU Load) Level: 100% Display Refresh Level: 100% Rest of Settings: Any CPU Load Indicator (working): 25% ~ 40% * It happens every 2 hours approximately * I use a SoundBlaster input card and a Realtek output card * I use a WASAPI mode * I use a Stereo Coder and RDS Best regards from Chile |

Ok. Cause has to be a different in clock speed between the 2 cards. Stereo Tool will compensate for that, but 1.5 seconds in 2 hours is quite a lot - probably more than Stereo Tool will fix with the default settings. In the sound card -> input settings, make sure that synchronisation to output is set to Auto or On, and increase "relative adjustment" (by default 0.5%) a bit - for example to 1%. (Actually.. 0.5% should be enough. Not sure here, please check these settings). |
