Hello, I am using StereoTool 8.40 on Linux (ubuntu 16.04) with JACK in order to set up FM transmitter along with ESI Juli@ soundcard.
I have enabled "FM output" and when I list all JACK connections (via jack_lsp -c) I see it connects fm output to playback:
Code:
stereo_tool:fm_l
system:playback_1
stereo_tool:fm_r
system:playback_2
However, I would like to capture also pre-MPX but post-processed signal for monitoring.
I have noticed that if I enable "Normal Output", it takes precedence over "FM output" and StereoTool's fm ports are connected to ports selected in the "Normal Output", and soundcard is disconnected:
Code:
stereo_tool:fm_l
monitor-stereotool-post:in_jackaudiosrc0_1
stereo_tool:fm_r
monitor-stereotool-post:in_jackaudiosrc0_2
Does this mean that these two outputs are mutually exclusive?
When I enable "LQ Low Latency" output it keeps "FM Output" running and I can capture sound from StereoTool's mon ports:
Code:
stereo_tool:mon_l
monitor-stereotool-post:in_jackaudiosrc0_1
stereo_tool:mon_r
monitor-stereotool-post:in_jackaudiosrc0_2
But I am not sure if it is fully processed sound just without FM-specific processing?
Can anyone explain roles of these outputs and relationship between them?
