I never switched from the "Classic Multiband" to the new one because I simply dont understand it. I am no sound engineer, so the classic one was understandable for me and it is easier to access, since I have everything on one page: I use it a lot when I remaster music tracks for my private collection and each music track needs different settings, and there I can tweak everything on one page easily.

I also use the voice protection setting of the classic multiband a lot to control the volume of a singer in a music track. For newcomers and rookies the classic multiband is awesome, because you understand it without the need to know all the specifics.

The new multiband looks like high mathematics too me, I have no clue what is happening there with all the knobs. If the new multiband would have a user interface which emulates the classic multiband it would make it more accessable for newcomers and easier to tweak the settings for individual tracks during remastering.

I heard that the classic multiband was programmed without the professional knowledge and the new one is programmed with that knowledge. But that lack of knowledge was a "feature" because the programmer was in the mindset of new users of the software and he developed a feature which was understandable for most users (the feature was inclusive for many). The new multiband is only accessable for professionals (which makes the feature exclusive for a few now).

I would switch to the new multiband if:
- there is an automatically conversion of the classic settings to the new, so they sound (mostly exactly) the same under the new multiband.
- I can control the voice volume like with the old voice protection setting (if its too low/too dominant in the source)
- I have the basic settings for daily tweaking during individual track remastering on one dialog like with the classic multiband.

1. Converting isn't really possible because it really behaves very differently. Although I guess I could get close... but I think it's too much effort for a feature that has been deprecated for over 2 years now. Anyway, if I fix option 3 here, it might be much simpler for you to do it yourself.
2. Voice volume, interesting one - maybe I should add that to the new one too (I never thought about it!). Actually, it might help to replicate the sound of certain other processors :)
3. An overview window with the most important settings sounds like a good idea! I will make that.
