When RDS-PS is a long word like
Code:
TRANSMISSION
the transmitted RDS is
  • "TRANSMIS"
To avoid this, you can do
Code:
<TRANSMISSION
and then ST will scroll
  • "TRANSMIS" "RANSMISS" "ANSMISSI" "NSMISSIO" "SMISSION"
Fine copy with perfect and strong RDS reception, but in weak situations, you only get weird things on display.

Solution would be that ST recognize long words, does sillabication, adds hyphen and splits
Code:
TRANSMISSION
into
  • "_TRANS-_" "MISSION_"
automatically, like Airomate is able to.

So, you only have to broadcast two instead of five new PS-messages, and it also looks (IMHO) better on display then scrolling.

When it's a static text, it's no problem to split the long words manually, but text from external files cannot be splitted manually.
Plus, Airomate is more flexible in using external text files, as it's not nessesary to mount the directory as a network-drive. And - very important - Airomate switches over to a default static text in case network-connection is lost.
