I wish there was the option in the command line version to have the Auto EQ calculate the EQ to be applied and than apply it uniformly to the file being processed.

It stands to reason that most recordings are made with a uniform EQ. Auto EQ tries to bridge the gap between uniform EQ variations in the wide verity of sources in the broadcast situation. For the restoration and enhancement situation, it makes sense to only apply one EQ to the entire file.

True, this would probably only add a very subtle measure of quality, but also is hopefully not the hardest feature to implement.
