Post subject:  Parallel compression mode for first multiband

Hello,
It would be very fine to be able to change the compression mode of the first multiband to a parallel compression mode.
That means that the output of the first multiband contains a mix of the signal before and after the first multiband.
In other words: Before the first MB the signal has to be split. One way goes to the first MB, the other way is a bypass of the first MB. After this stage the bypass signal and the compressed signal are mixed again before going into the further Stereotool stages.
The advantage of the parallel compression is that this affects mainly the low-level parts of music, as louder the level becomes, as less is the influence of the compressor. So it works very well as a preprocessor before a normal multiband to achieve more consistency while still preserving more dynamics.
To accomplish this it needs:
-a switch to activate the parallel mode
-a control that degreases the thresholds of all bands by the same amount if the parrallel switch is enabled by 0...60dB
-because the Multiband drive control is not needed as this in this mode it should amplify the output of the compressors if the parallel switch is enabled.

This would be really interesting.

Kind Regards,
Robert
