 Post subject: license in vst

there seems to be a problem with pasting the license into the vst version. in winamp it works ok. i am using it in Ableton

Does that mean that you cannot paste it?

You can type it in manually... I know it's annoying. Some VST hosts apparently don't send certain key combinations to the VST plugin.

It sounds like an issue with Ableton. I personally use StereoTool in both Adobe Audition and Goldwave; neither program has ever had an issue letting me paste (using Ctrl-V) or type in the license key.
