Post subject: | VST Declipper registration question |
Hi, I'm trying to use declipper as a VST plugin. I registered it (have the ini file with key in win/user folder) but still the plugin inserts trial audio every 10 mins or so (This audio is processed by steretool, visit stereotool.com...) Is this what supose to do? Thanks for your help and br, David |

If it is registered, could it be that you're using features that you didn't register? It should show a message just above the metering section at the bottom. |

Hi, Thanks for your reply. It says correctly that it is registered when I open interface. And I dont use any options that are not included in registration. Maybe there's something to do with the fact that I'm trying to use it with new Breakaway One wich is running as a service? (There is no VST interface posible when VST is running as a service in Breakaway One?) Br, David |

Ah! Yes that is the reason. You need the latest Declipper build (which I haven't released yet). There's a version that should work somewhere in this forum... (Note: That version was updated to work properly in Breakaway). Edit: http://stereotool.com/download/vst_perf ... er_300.dll |

Hi, thanks for your response. I tried with this vst dll, but I'm affraid its still not working. If I use it in BBOne app ok, but when I use BBOne as a service I still get beeps and voice promo. System is Win7x64. Thanks and br, David |

Ow! I forgot something. I made a fix for this but the VST plugin doesn't know that you want to run it as a service... so it never installs that fix. You need to create a file in C:\ProgramData . This file must have the name of the VST, but with .ini as extention instead of .dll. So usually this would be vst_perfect_declipper.ini or vst_perfect_declipper_64.ini. In that file, you put 1 line that tells it where the normal settings file is stored: Code: UserPath=C:\Users\<username>\vst_perfect_declipper.ini(or declipper_64.ini) Replace <username> by the user name under which you originally installed it. So in my case it says: Code: UserPath=C:\Users\hvz\vst_perfect_declipper.ini |

Yes - now it works. Great! Thanks for help. One more question - Do you recommend to use 32 or 64 VST version of dll with BAOne on Win7x64? (You gave me only link to one file - I belive its 32 bit?) Is there any difference? I belive BAOne is 64 bit aware app. Thanks and Br, David |

O, I thought BaOne was 32 bit. You usually can only use one of the two. It doesn't matter for functionality, the other one just won't be recognized at all. |

Hi, I see, thanks for your reply. BTW - do you by any chance also have new version of winamp dsp plugin perfect decliper? In current version 2.00 Delossifier is only experimental... Thanks and br, Br, David |
