Since the Windows version is stable again (and probably better than the latest release) I have now finally created a new thread: viewtopic.php?f=14&t=4870&p=21543#p21543 .

So let's continue there!

On my Debian 7 box, stereotool 6.24 works fine (CLI version)

The latest gives me the following:
Code:
micro:~> ./stereo_tool_BETA724-005
./stereo_tool_BETA724-005: /lib/i386-linux-gnu/i686/cmov/libm.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.15' not found (required by ./stereo_tool_BETA724-005)
Trust this helps.

The 005 is not the latest (031 is), this issue should be fixed.

I'm so sorry! I have no idea why I stopped reading 2 pages into the thread!
Anyway, I have tried with the latest version from the other thread (for the CLI version 030 seems the latest) and the issue remains. Probably the other thread is the right place for the discussion though :)

@Mk4UmHa: Are you using the latest (released!) version? And if so, are you using Jack or Jack2? I've Googled your error message and found some mentions of people who got similar errors, switched from jack2 to jack and then it worked.

(I'm asking this because you're posting in this '7.24 LINUX test' thread - but by now there's a released version 7.24 that you can download on the normal download page.)

Hello!
I got the same message in Ubuntu 13.04 at first, but this helped me:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php? ... st10199399

Stereo Tool seems to be working fine here. :)
I set the output buffer in ST to 0.001 s (minimum possible) because otherwise there was very high latency.
You would expect stuttering audio with such a small buffer, but Jack probably has its own buffer that is sufficient.
