@Hans, will your idea about the de-clipping also work with:
Clipped mp3's with different levels from sources with different tilt outputs fed through an analog mixer to stereo tool?

It should, but the easier (and probably better) solution for that would be to automaically detect tilt and clipping level. The goal of my new idea is to be able to restore tracks where that doesn't help because clipping happens all over the place.

Kanye West - Monster [feat. Jay-Z, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj & Bon Iver]

It has clipping on top of intentionally creatively clipped vocals near the end. It would be interesting to hear something that can declip down into the waveform, but not destroy the clipped sound of something like that. (the intentially clipped part, not the mastering clipping)

What's cool right now about it is it's declipping the mastering clipping, and restoring the intentionally clipped vocals  Just like it should.

I think that after de-clipping patent the SOUND WAR will come to it's ...limits!

What else should be invented from sound engineers like Leif and Hvz to improve -restore-make lound-clean-give colur... ?!?!

I think that they just...finished their projects! ( Leif and Hvz..)

Now let's make PRESETS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Gotcha!
Camclone, you have said the same (and even repeated it) already long before the invention of declipping and dynamic boost.

This sounds like:

Everything that can be invented has been invented.

There is no end of history !

And everybody can hear that the declipping, but especially the boost module in Stereo Tool are still in an early beta phase.
You can use these, but Hans knows for sure why he investigates in further development (because it is necessary to improve things).
