ive been keeping up with the recent releases and im up to Beta 28 though the first post is still at Beta 24.
can you provide some changes/fixes for Beta 28 ?
thanks.
Nothing really interesting, just a lot of STX work (so it's basically our internal tests). And we're at 029 now :)

For the 32 bit Pi versions, the CPU load is probably lower (about 5% for MicroMPX, I haven't measured Stereo Tool yet but I'm expecting a similar improvement). The 64 bit versions MIGHT be faster as well but I have not yet tested those.

Except for that, the web interface is working again, and now uses websockets so it's faster and using less overhead. O, and the Winamp plugin now also contains IceCast streaming, so you don't need to use a separate plugin after it (for which you need some multi-DSP plugin in many cases) anymore. But the installer isn't properly updated yet.
In the Streaming Output section, needs to resample the audio when use with FM Output (192 kHz) and "built-in streaming" and OGG-Vorbis, because the streaming sample rate goes to 192 kHz and the bitrate goes to 150 kb/s...

Hey NRG,

this is a very nice Skin. Is it the new look of version 9.38 or is this your own Skin?

DSP Cosmetic gui offsets to the left when lowering Leif's High gap protection to 0. clicking to another menu and returning corrects it, until you to increase a higher number, then it offsets to the right,
Best I can tell, this has been there since the first 9.38 beta

Hi,

How do you guys know if a new beta comes out if the link in the first post on this thread says beta 24? Are you guessing with different numbers in the link?

I'm gonna get beta 28, but I suggest HVZ update the first post so we don't have to guess.

Thanks!

Yes, that's exactly how we do it. When a beta isn't published on the page, it's because (in my experience) new features are being played with that Hans might not be fully convinced are a good idea, so he doesn't want people to get used to having them. That's true of the entire beta cycle, but some features are truly just experiments.

However, I don't think that's the case with 31. He's just been sick and busy.

I understand. Here's hoping he gets well soon.

One minor suggestion for the web interface, could you guys please add alt text to describe the image sliders and buttons? You could say "feature turned on/off" for the buttons depending whether or not the feature's on or off. For sliders you could put in "Slider". This would help blind users who use screen readers with StereoTool's web interface.
Here's some info on alt text.
https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-u ... -to-images

I can still use StereoTool without proper alt text, but my screen reader reads the images as "web widget on l" and "web s".
