I still dont uderstand what you are doing and still window speed does not do what it should do at all.
Could you clarify? Inside the window it now slowly moves to the place where it would have been without a window. That should be the correct behavior?

Not here. Try 0.1 seconds, that should act almost as if there's no window. If you still see it freeze, please send me your settings so I can see what's going on.

Default settings just AGC ON with 400Hz input tone. Set and dB window and it will not stay at position like without window.

Or AGC meter lie to me...

edit:
Yes, AGC meter shows wrong.

The window moves the threshold. Before that was needed because - when you couldn't move inside the window - there was no way to ever get back to no attenuation. I can't remove that behavior without breaking every preset made to date.

If you play constant tones and look at the behavior inside and outside the window it should be clearly different.

Hans, this beta (007), the preset is not correctly saving the AGC settings.

I've just tested it but I don't see any problems. Can you tell me exactly what you're doing and what doesn't get saved/loaded?

The stereotool does not save the *.sts correctly but the% USERPROFILE .ini file is saved correctly, or the settings remain in the program if you do not change the preset but if you save it and want to go back it is not possible because something is missing being thus, the preset was not saved.
