They aren't outdated, they run on all Pi 2/3's (so also 3B+). We can target the CPU in those specifically but we tried that and it makes very little difference in performance (1%, maybe).
Note: If you have a chance, get a 64 bit OS on those Pi's, plus the 64 bit binaries (we'll post those for version 9.10). That does make quite a large difference (10% or so).
I will try again next weeks, we do a lot with these RPI's and tested ST a few times with all access rights set, but I will launch it at the command prompt as the new test, once had it running on an Orange PI singleboard but indeed CPU was killing, now going to test Linux Jack 9.11 first...
