I'm using this beta. Currently, it seems the AF filter is taking place AFTER processing, not before. Is this an intentional design feature? The bandpass filter should be before processing so unintelligible audio isn't affecting the processing chain down the line. I'm experiencing some undesirable effects in the lowest bands in all processing from turntable rumble. In some cases, it will causes extreme gain reduction in bass bands, thereby muting them.

From what I can remember, you can choose whether the bandpass filter is placed before of after processing. There is a box to check or uncheck.
But you might want to have a look at the PNR Noise and Hum reduction section to solve your problem.

Hi,

Have you made any progress on the issue with the Linux build where it sometimes does not launch the window? I tried some older versions, and 8.20 seems to work very well. The issue seems to come out in the newer versions. I'm testing on Ubuntu 16.04 and am happy to try some new builds and let you know how it works.

These preset related posts should be relocated the the share your presets section of this forum.
I posted it over there too. One of the ToDo items for this version on the list was to include AM presets, so I figured I would put them here and offer them for inclusion in the next beta.

It has taken a while but I'm *almost* ready (I hope tomorrow) to post a new beta. It took a lot longer than I had expected - I worked on some really difficult stuff this time and it took forever to wrap my head around it.

I made a big improvement to the "Analog" compressor mode which took me multiple days of thinking. Eventually it ended up being 8 lines of code.... So I probably averaged about 2 lines of code per day while working on it :) The effect is big though, the compressors now FINALLY behave as I intended when I created them over 2 years ago.

Beside that, the next beta will have more RDS features (PTYN and a TA timeout), UECP or ASCII-control of RDS via UDP (until now only TCP), improved stereo image phase problems fixing, improved multipath protection, slightly improved Hard Limit filter (I still haven't heard anything but some people were complaining about it), and some small stuff.

I'm expectant with the new build :D

The dehummer removes entirely too much of the audio. There's a significant difference, so until there's a better way to remove noise, it has to be left off. The noise gate does a fine enough job to remove hiss until the dehummer feature can be looked at again.

The bandpass filter is only after processing. There's nothing in that section that allows for it to be placed anywhere else.

Non-phase linear was said to take place before processing.

You don't have to apologize for taking so long to find and correct errors. Unfortunately, it's always the little things that make the difference. You found the fault in the end. I'm looking forward to the new beta version and can't wait to test it. :D
