That "fade in" issue at the beginning of tracks still seems to be present. :|
That problem is definitely audible on tracks, it's like they lack power and drive for 5 - 10 seconds at the start. Kind of a show stopper for me anyways. :|

That address seems to be outside the range of my code, so it's probably some system DLL. I have tried to reproduce it but so far that failed.... If you have a crash dump available, please send it to me, if you need to put effort into it, please wait for the next build (I've enabled some extra build settings to make analysis easier).

So, I've re-enacted the problem and opened the minidump in Visual Studio. The following call stack is displayed there. I hope this will help you in troubleshooting. If you want the complete minidump, please let me know!

Just as a supplement. The error occurred with beta 28. The error did not occur before. It can therefore only be due to an adaptation in this version.

Unfortunately these addresses are different in different OS's/different runs. So, I can't use those. Also, this version was built without any debugging information whatsoever (even on my end - so even with the correct address it would be difficult to figure out what's happening). I've turned on the generation of files on my pc now (it was off because it makes the build take even longer, and it's very rare that people respond issues in the 64 bit VST version).

There's quite a lot changed between these beta's, but nothing VST related, so I think the first thing I should do is to run the latest version in Valgrind. Also, I have a lot of optimization work to do, so it probably makes sense to do that first - I will probably throw away parts of the new code. I might just get lucky and throw away whatever is causing this crash :)

Ok, nothing weird reported by Valgrind, unfortunately. So, I'll run a new build tonight with more info in it, if you could make a minidump for that, it should help a lot!

Well, that's too bad it doesn't help you. I will wait then times the version announced by you, and then I will provide you immediately a minidump, so whether the error is still present in this version.

It uses either RMS or Peak mode. (Actually it's a bit random... because I forgot to change it earlier when I added the new RMS mode as well. So Average = RMS, RMS = Peak, Symmetric RMS = RMS again. Sigh.)

Hans, I wanted to tell you something else about the AutoEQ's behavior. You know, I had the impression from the beginning that the behaviour was somehow not right. Thanks to your last adaptations, this all seems to be great. The response time here is what it should be, and the result is right.

Some people have already written that you have problems with the "system" at the beginning of a piece of music. I have to agree with that, unfortunately. Especially at the beginning, when you start the plugin for the first time, there are apparently some problems here. You can see them very clearly in the AutoEQ. Sudden Jump Protection is active, although there is nothing to do at the beginning. After a few seconds this seems to have levelled off.
