This looks like a VLC error. But, does this only happen at restarts, and always happen at restarts? And not if you just set it up? What happens if you disable it, then start ST, and then enable it?

Whatever it is, the cause appears to be in VLC, more specifically in libavcodec. The good news is that this is the first evidence that my code to handle VLC crashes is working. You can enable the automatic restarts to have it attempt to restart when this happens. Now that won't help much if this happens on every restart, obviously...
Once activated and ST closed and reopened ST won't work anymore and crash on every start.

Ok, that has to mean that I'm doing something with VAC differently on startup than when you turn it on later.

The only way get it back working setting the Normal Output to =0 in the config-file and restart ST. Afterwards you can activate VLC Streaming without any problems until the next restart.

Ok. That must indeed be what I said above. Will look into it...... (after NAB though)

I had a quick look when I was working on something else and I think I found it. Due to 2 lines of code that were swapped, ST always opens the sound cards twice on startup. That's stupid...and fixed now. Will post a new beta.

Windows 32 bit:
Windows stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 31-005.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 31-005.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 31-005.dll

Windows 64 bit:
Windows stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 31-005.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 31-005.dll

CHANGES:
- VLC crashing issue on restarts probably fixed: Sound cards were opened twice on startup. (Open -> Close -> Open). Which might have caused this.
- Generic plugin: Button presses now handled if GUI is closed (use '1' as parameter index value).

OLD CHANGES:
- Stokkemask crash/audio drop fixed (when changing the Use area setting and Assymmetry mode was enabled)
- Limiter sliders were hard to control -> solved
- SST: Error popup is now red, clicking on "Clear all errors" removes the popup.

Hi Hans,

thank you, I'll give it a try later. I'm testing now the PI2 Version on a PI3 with HifiBerry Card and GUI-less. When I start I get the following errors:

StereoTool isn't running afterwards. Am I doing something wrong? I'd like to get it working with ALSA.

Thanks.

Unfortunately the new beta doesn't fix the problem.
