The input level indicators sometimes briefly flash bright yellow instead of the normal green. What does this mean?
Huh? That doens't make any sense... They could turn red on overshoots, but I didn't implement any other colors... You don't mean that they are lighter green? Because that could happen if there's some sync issue between the raw input and the gain corrected input.

Yeah, maybe it's lighter green. The pre amplifier was at 0 dB, so what gain correction is still applied to the input and can cause sync problems?

The gain correction in the input sound card settings. In principle, if that's set to 0 dB you should never see the light green.

--> Just tested it here and it seems to be perfectly in sync. If I increase the gain correction, I see a bright green area on top of the meters, but that's a constant size (as expected).

Here are new 64 bit builds!

Windows 64 bit:
Windows stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 25-003.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 25-003.dll

I use the DSP version and I'm looking at the horizontal input level bars. I can only see it sometimes and only when the level is rapidly varying in the left/lowest 12 or 18 dB of the bars. A varying number of top input level boxes then flash brighter for a tiny moment. It may takes half a minute or so for it to happen and it's easier to spot if more boxes turn lighter green. It's reproducible here but I would need to make a video, a photo/screenshot probably wouldn't help.

Works so far, but on Normal Out in Non-ASIO-Mode, I only get mono output (Win7 x64). Rolling back to 8.23 brings back stereo.

Ah I had some mono input (microphone - easy to test) when I tested it so I wouldn't have noticed if that was the case on my end. Will try it. If it's stereo here I might need more input from you.

Edit: The output appears to be mono here as well. Input is stereo though. I also see that I can't use Virtual Audio Cable from other programs anymore, so if possible I will need to pass it a flag to tell it that it has to open it non-exclusively. (Would only be for KS, MME is already ok, might also be caused by different sample rate).

--> Edit: Found it. Turns out that on the right channel, I was accidentally playing the left channel with 1 sample delay instead of the right channel. Oops. Rebuilding now.

Windows 32 bit:
Windows stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 25-004.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 25-004.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 25-004.dll

Windows 64 bit:
Windows stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 25-004.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 25-004.dll

CHANGES:
- Removed old WINMM audio card code, replaced by PortAudio.

TODO:
- SST help
- Show low input level warning for inputs below - say - around -9 dB or so. For extended periods. Reason; I hear on a local station here that they probably have a too low input level and they didn;'t know that that was a problemn, but the sound on one of the built-in presets wasn't as consistent as it should be, and some tracks sound muffled probably due to too much noise gating.
- Delossifier Spectral hole filler CPU load is much higher in 8.23 than in 8.00 - no obvious change in the code.

Hi Fario,
I don't know yet either - I have to look into that. I'm seeing similar things here. Does the normal (non-WASAPI) interface work though?
