Hi Hans get this on the latest beta :(
Unanticipated host error is an error that PortAudio doesn't understand. I've just added extra logging so in this case it will display the internal error message.

Sorry, my harddisk was full during the build... only these 2 succeeded.

Windows 32 bit:
Windows stand alone: http://www.stereotool.com/download/ster ... 25-009.exe
Winamp DSP: http://www.stereotool.com/download/dsp_ ... 25-009.exe
VST: http://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_ ... 25-009.dll

Windows 64 bit:
Windows stand alone: ----://www.stereotool.com/download/stereo_tool ... 25-009.exe
VST: ----://www.stereotool.com/download/vst_stereo_ ... 25-009.dll

CHANGES:
- Added FM/HD synchronziation slider. You will hear glitches when adjusting it, but no complete dropouts as with changing the buffer size.
- Changed PortAudio callback block size to let PortAudio decide the best size. This might slightly reduce latency and also help against hiccups.

OLD CHANGES:
- Added display of supported sample rates (and MME) to sound card selection.
- SST help
- Delossifier Spectral hole filler CPU load is much higher in 8.23 than in 8.00 - no obvious change in the code. - Wasn't true, slightly optimized it anyway.
- Removed old WINMM audio card code, replaced by PortAudio.

TODO:
- Make PortAudio work on Mac (output works, input not yet)
- Make PortAudio work properly on Linux - it works but with weird warnings and it takes a long time to start.
- Synchronize PortAudio starts
- Send out RDS texts
- Fix 31N
- Show low input level warning for inputs below - say - around -9 dB or so. For extended periods. Reason; I hear on a local station here that they probably have a too low input level and they didn;'t know that that was a problemn, but the sound on one of the built-in presets wasn't as consistent as it should be, and some tracks sound muffled probably due to too much noise gating.

Ok that is weird. It tries to open at 44100 and complains about 32000? Can you try if you can open it at 32000? And which frequencies does it show it supports?

Which sample rates are listed in Stereo Tool's sound card selection dropdown box?

By the way, I've learned today that we were using an older PortAudio version, I've updated to the new one now. Haven't tried it yet..

Edit: Ah, at least one card that didn't work for me before without a clear reason does work now. I'll run a rebuild tonight!

You mean in General? from 32 to 192

Well I mean for this card. The pulldown menu should show something like WASAPI 32-192 kHz, but it could also be something else.

Anyway, let's see if the rebuild helps.

Testing this recent release 009, I noticed while using DSP version (Sound Pro-Omni-FM setting) that if Encode RDS is turned off then the Pre-Emphasis goes off. Not really an issue for me, but seems it shouldn't do that.
