Hello Hans,
Could you please listen to my preset, when you feed the processor with dry speech, the declipper produces a strange kind of distortion. It sounds like the loudspeaker is not fixed correctly in the box and therefore vibrating. Turning declipper off and the effect is gone. Please listen a few minutes cause the effect isn't constant there...
This is not the standard setting (after reset), but it is also there noticable.
Am I doing something wrong?
My version is 8.20.
Many thanks in advance,
Kind Regards,
Robert

Veil elasticity is set extremely high, that makes it work harder.

Can you send a sample in which you hear this? Could very well depend on the voice... Especially if you also hear it with the default settings (I never noticed anything, so it doesn't make sense to listen to voice recordings now).

Hello Hans,
A sample is attached, but you have to Change the Extension to .mp3 because the Forum says this Extension is not allowed...
Thanks for looking into this,
Kind Regards
Robert

Hi,

So far I found one way to fix this: Increase the "Stop declipping if texture did not increase above" slider to 115% (or higher, but at some point it will stop all declipping). Although I did some quick tests and even at 200% the effect seems to be small. 115% was sufficient to get rid of the effect in your recording, 110% wasn't enough yet.

I think I might need to change the default setting for this thing...

OK, "Stop declipping if texture did not increase above" = 140% is the value where the effect is so less that it's ok for me here.
So, maybe this would be a ggod Default value I think.
Kind Regards,
Robert

Did the VST for declipper get updated along with 8.23? And should we expect these updates to go hand in hand with full stereo tool updates?
