Yup. Turns out that all the whole processing threads in 8.12 are NOT running at an elevated priority!

Ok, updated now.

I/O and gathering of data after processing is finished now runs at priority 2.
Processing runs at priority 1.
GUI runs at -1.
Everything else runs at priority 0.

Note: Actual ASIO I/O runs at a much higher priority (15 or even higher, depending on the ASIO driver). 1 and 2 appear to be enough though (I used 1 in 8.00 and before).

In version 8.00, I/O and processing both ran at priority 1. But the changes in the framework (there was no separate gathering thread for example, and processing would never run simultaneously with I/O) there was no need for separate priorities for I/O and processing, there is now though.

Hans, are you going to update 8.12 or just add these fixes to the next beta?

Does that reproduce when you start it again? If so, can you send me your settings?

I unchecked LQ output and ticked it back on, seems the problem is solved.
Strange, seems to run ok now.

[edit] it's LQ output that cause the exception
