Hans i think the low output filter does not working ?! .. or i am missing something :|
Do you mean the lowpass filter? Seems to be working fine here... What's happening?

Yes.. it's always on 30Hz .. and i never moved to any other number.. but yesterday i set it at max 150Hz and i can not notice any difference in audo.
As you know i used for transsmiter (mpx out) but i tryed winamp dsp ST and same thing.

EDIT:
My mistake
Multiband is uping it and make it almost no difference ... i made a 100Hz tone and tryed again (without multiband) and it works .. starting to go down it from ~85Hz and on 120hz almost minimum.

so. bandpass filter is behind multiband in audio processing chain .. or multiban kills lowpass filter function !?

EDIT2:
Tested again ...
Multiband totaly kills lowpass filter !

You're right - I have put the highpass filter in the multiband filter for some reasons (sound quality vs latency). And I just found out that I was first removing the bass from the signal in a buffer - and then I filled the buffer, so after removing the bass.... I've switched those two steps now and it's working again. I think this bug has been there since version 3.50 - so thanks for letting me know!

np Hans :)
yes i tryed v3.40 and all works normal with lowpass and multiband ON .. but no with multiband OFF :D

but in v3.40 it work much better !? 100Hz tone is killed on ~110Hz by lowpass.

- i notice in last betas that now final-limiter not going to much in "red".
is final audio level same?
i cant test it because i am still in v3.55finall on transmitter, because of soundcard settings in beta standalone ver.

Ii just hope you are close to get final version, suppose 3.60, because i have some ideas about improving RDS Section and others.

That's what I was thinking also. I have configured the multiband compressor without using Loudness and added Loudness to the preset later... And Loudness also has some multiband-compressor like effects (very loud frequencies cannot be made louder infinitely, so they don't get amplified as much as softer sounds). Together it might be too much.

I think the best solution here - to get both the Loudness and gain control, which is lost when setting Pre Amp so low - would be to change the settings in the Pre Limiter. Try lowering the 'soft limit' values to - say - half of what they are now.[/quote]

Thanks Hans, now I could see the colored indicators of the multiband compressor started to move when I lowered the soft limit values to half of their original values. This is also very interesting to see the effect on the sound by changing the values of various slides.

Oooops, sorry, got mixed up with several quotes !!!

Yes, I've made a change some time ago (I think in version 3.50) where I optimized the performance a bit - but I did something wrong so the highpass filter didn't do anything anymore when the Multiband compressor was enabled. It should be fixed in the new beta (available in about 30 minutes) - there it should be identical to the 3.40 behavior.

I'm not sure yet about the version number, the thing is that I won't have a lot of time to work on Stereo Tool in the next few weeks... I actually wanted to also include the presets in the new interface, but now I'm thinking about delaying that for a future version. Before I thought I would name the new version '4.0' because the interface is completely different.

Update:
- Lowpass filter fixed
- Gaps when switching between presets greatly reduced
- Stand alone version: Configure sound cards button added
- Plugin versions: Configure audio and display button added, including a window where you can configure:
- Whether after a pause the buffer should be cleared, and how long that pause should be
- How much delay to add before displaying outputs, to match the Winamp audio output
Note that these settings are NOT yet saved, so you need to set them again after reloading Stereo Tool.
The "If FM direct sound card output..." checkbox doesn't do anything yet.
I will add something similar for the stand alone version. (where you can choose to which output the display should be synchronized).

The default delay and gap time values are set to match the Winamp defaults. (default buffer size in Winamp is 2 seconds).

Lowpass works now with and without Multiband.

now..
- minimize button on standalone version
- RDS Window (whatever is touched in it, it brakes audio, if you close it, it brakes audio...) - standalone

Cause is clear - I'll fix it tonight.

I have been having problems with my sound card input since I have a new PC, which is why I haven't tested the stand alone version very thoroughly. I'm planning to reinstall everything this weekend, I hope that will solve things.

I've just uploaded a new standalone version where these 2 problems are solved. No further changes, and no changes in the other versions.

Exellent.
Hans you are no.1

i found one super small bug in slider for stereo image windows ... "diff" slider can't be controled by mouse wheel but that is not so important.

Anyway good job ;)

Regards
