Features - Retains Dynamics (uses less compressions to retain the quiet portions of music) - Less high, treble (no listening fatigue) - Suitable for FM Broadcasts - High, warm in bass (aims to get the warm orban-like bass like Laser Hot Hits and other major FM broadcast stations) - lightweight (45% - 56% CPU usage @ 100% quality, tested on Intel Atom X5-Z8300 - 48kHz Integrated "Intel WDM" soundcard Windows 10 Tablet) Troubleshootings (Each soundcard is different) - Volume too low Play around with preamp - audio overshoots, distorts Play around with post /pre amp - Not enough highs Increase AGC drive or Turn on Multiband 2 and increase the drive (where appropriate) [Not recommended, unless the AGC drive has already set to +32dB which is the max]. (I used MB2 with AGC drive set to +24 dB on Intel Atom X5 WDM internal soundcard and +2 dB AGC Drive without MB2 on internal Realtek HD Audio card) - Not dense enough set sub bass boost higher than 1db or increase multiband 1 drive - distorted bass (many sounds cards have this problem when increasing the Sub Bass Boost strength) reduce Sub Bass Boost strength or turn it off Enable Bass Clipper Misc. distortions fixes - Sssss and other overshoot mids / highs Increase Initial speed of Phase Rotation (from 1600 Hz to higher value) [effective] Optional (for low-end devices): disable Simple Clipper and Bass Clipper (These options weren't enabled when tested on X5). CPU limit was set to "Pi3". I didn't get overshoots / any distortions on intel sound cards but I have to set pre/post amp to 0 and increase the Multiband1 or AGC drive because output volume too low sub bass boost makes bass sounds warmer NOTE: - This preset was created on an older version of stereotool and tweaked on stereotool 9.70 so you will expect a "deprecated settings" dialog. Please keep the deprecated settings to retain its original sound textures - Please, ignore the "AGC level too low" warning - The FM Transmitter and RDS settings are modified but disabled by default. Please load your FM Transmitter and RDS setiings... I have compared my audio to many local FM stations + Laser Hot Hits. Sounds very similar except more dynamics and less treble audio samples Sample 1 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sI1yEV ... share_link Sample 2 https://drive.google.com/file/d/142ceq7 ... share_link Sample 3 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FLtDUI ... share_link Sample 4 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xfZmRA ... share_link Sample 5 (Added) Queen - Killer Queen intro https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PQu8HL ... share_link Sample 6 (Added) EWF - Spend The Night https://drive.google.com/file/d/1B4t24h ... share_link This was recorded from a mono FM tuner (The carrier is Stereo) Soundcard used: Internal 192kHz Realtek HD Audio (nothing flashy) OS Windows 7 |

Nope. Tried it, and all I got was no sound except for a one sec blip every few seconds. Worse still, even though I can change to another preset, the blip/silence continues - even after a PC reboot!! Interestingly enough, RDS still works. This blip thing sounds like it might be a test signal. It's also knocked out some of my I/O settings, like ASIO inputs, outputs and interface! THIS PRESET IS JUNK - DO NOT USE, at least in it's present form! It renders ST completely, utterly useless. How do I return to a fully working preset please? EDIT: Seems it also knocked out the VLC input feed, which was causing the one second blips. All working now, thankfully, using another preset. This preset, IMO was not worth the trouble. Sorry to say. Maybe the next attempt will be less troublesome. |

I have to reselect the input / output soundcards again. Make sure to Load all Audio settings and load your I/O settings from your previous working preset

Ahhh, gotcha. Really sorry, my misunderstanding. Looking at your pics, doesn't the pre-section (input) look hugely clipped? Output looks OK. Wouldn't this cause unwanted distortion? |

UPDATE! Here is a v2 preset. More bass, more highs Each sound card is different. If the audio is too low, please set post/pre amp to 0dB (My sound card has high output volume) Changes in v2 Improved Multiband 2 (simply reduce the "drive", if the treble is too high) Bass clipper +3dB amplified (this results in more bassy textures) Louder (Now sounds almost as loud as the local stations but slightly softer) Disabled Simple Clipper (No longer necessary) v2 audio samples 1. https://drive.google.com/file/d/10J5U4Q ... share_link 2. https://drive.google.com/file/d/15O8dLC ... share_link 3. https://drive.google.com/file/d/12ENrxM ... share_link

Dense Pleasure - A preset for bass head person Version 3 Fixed some certain bass distortions improved Multiband 1 and 2 - in v2 and v1, I noticed that multiband 2 causes tinny, unnatural sound on certain tracks. In v3, Multiband 1 and 2 has improved, as a result, sounds more consistent than the previous versions. If you wish to continue using Dense pleasure v1 and v2 preset, please disable Multiband 2. Bass Clipper tweaked (amplified to 3.10 dB / freq resp, stage 1 and 2 tweaked) - Bass is now more audible on small speakers Enabled True Bass Band 2 @120 Hz, 71.0 db/oct peak freq - This causes bass to sound warmer and more audible without distortions. Preamp now set to 0dB, no longer required to reset preamp settings each time when the preset is loaded Now I got the sound I wanted. (bassy, very close to local stations, but no listening fatigue) v3 audio samples 1 https://drive.google.com/file/d/13BeORy ... share_link 2 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1h3xW9u ... share_link 3 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mSJPco ... share_link 4 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iNXzwV ... share_link 5 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LV61MJ ... sp=sharing 6 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lt0JA2 ... sp=sharing 7 https://drive.google.com/file/d/1oS7VUt ... sp=sharing
