Thanks Paul and Hanz for your investigations :-)
Indeed, with music, your wide stereo is great :-)

Have a nice day
Stéphane

And that's just 5 days of show, there's also buildup and teardown :)

Ah! The problem is Stereo Image. That's used to boost the width (separately from the phase) and that causes all kinds of weird issues. Solution: Turn it OFF and use other mechanisms (Stereo Boost, ACR Stereo) to get more width if you want that.

The last day of the show (Tuesday) the thing closed at 16:00... I got home around 3:30 AM.

Hi Hanz,
Indeed by disabling Stereo Image, the problem is very attenuated, but not at 100% disappeared. But if it so, we can live with it.

after some hours listening, the problem on talk persist (with stereo image off), attenuate but persist and rendering is not clean.
Why only on talk (announcement, weather, news flash, agenda ... we have always a bed behind the talk).

Regards
Stef

@stef: Something is very weird with the voices that you sent me, in the originals I mean. Voices are supposed to be mono... but they are not at all! There's a weird noisy stereo sound present. Just subtract the left and right channel from each other and you'll hear what I mean. The amount of stereo is so big that things like ACR Stereo, which shuts off for near-mono content, will be tricked in boosting the stereo sound instead.

Hans, need that mode that we discussed... regardless if its mono or stereo.. Stereo may happen if people are using mic enhancement... and I see in the FB groups that lots do.
