Hello I am new here
I registered because i recreated the sound color possessed KISS FM in 1984
I'm not American, so i rely on KISS FM cassette
In France there was Radio 7 which had the same sound color ( something close )
Infact i am very very close , i spent a lot of time to get there but i have to perhaps improve the level of midrange and bass

I'd much rather use hardware ( Orban 8100 , StéréoMaXX , BSS VZ40 .... ) but i thought why not try it with Stereo Tools
And i quite find it , i can master it well
I've managed to do two interesting colors ( hyper compression and color MaXXimum , WBMX 102.7 , among others )
Anyway , i leave you .FLAC file is a record of what i recreated
I also let an excerpt from KISS FM in 1984

Hi, I've noticed nobody has commented on this so I will. When I first played the KISS FM 98.7 beta 3 sample I thought it was the actual recording of Kiss FM! I was wondering how you could have recorded it in such excellent quality back then. But, as I listened to the other sample I realized the original was likely a cassette and not very good quality. That's ok though. I think you did a great job and the ST preset is fairly close in my opinion. I had to seek out the track afterwards too (Imagination - State of Love).

If you have samples of WBMX or other stations I'd be glad to listen to them too.
